ASP
is Microsoft's solution to server-side scripting, and ChiliSoft's
ASP technology is an exact functional equivalent to Microsoft's
ASP service, for Linux servers. The technology enables developers
to dynamically generate Active Server Web pages and use a variety
of development tools like Frontpage, Dreamweaver and GoLive,
as well as a range of scripting languages such as Visual Basic,
JScript, C++, PowerBuilder and Java, to create dynamic web pages
and build Web applications.
The cost for enabling ASP
for your account is $7.00/month or $75 for annual (10% discount)
- with no set-up fees.
NEW!
- Chili!Soft ASP Spice Pack - free with every ASP upgrade
The ChiliSoft Spice Pack is a group of COM components (see
list, below) that handle commonly-used Web application functionality.
These components make it easy to send and receive email and
upload files from client browsers.
* Chili!Mail 1.0:
SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) COM object used to send
emails from an ASP page to an email server.
* Chili!POP3 1.0:
POP3 (Post Office Protocol) COM object used to retrieve email
from a mail server, using the same protocol used by most email
clients.
* Chili!Upload 1.0:
Used to upload files from a client (typically a Web browser)
to the server and then save these files to the server's file
system.
Cold
Fusion has been growing in popularity since its inception in
1995 when it was introduced by the Allaire Corporation (which
is now owned by Macromedia). Today, it is used by more than
half of the Fortune 500 companies. It's popularity comes from
its ease of use and extensive capabilities, including working
with databases; interacting with the Internet through FTP, e-mail,
and HTTP; and much more.
Quick Notes about Cold Fusion:
- Cold Fusion and ASP cannot be enabled for the same account.
- Cold Fusion can work with any ODBC compliant database as
long as it has been converted into the MySQL environment.
For step-by-step instructions in making the conversion please
review:
- We are currently running ColdFusion Version MX 6.0
The cost for enabling Cold
Fusion for your account is $12.00/month or $129 for annual
(10% discount) - with no set-up fees.
